2017 Conference - Dublin
To establish the new chapter of ICON-S for Britain and Ireland, a conference was at Trinity College Dublin in September of 2017, bringing scholars from all over the UK and Ireland together to discuss themes and trends in international and comparative constitutional law.
The theme of the 2017 conference was “Constitutional Relations after Brexit”, but the conference included parallel panels on a range of topics, from comparative constitutional law, to international law, to constitutional change, to religion in the EU.
Professor Deirdre Curtin (EUI) delivered the keynote address to the conference, entitled: "Aeroelastic Europe: Flying Together After Brexit".
Professor Peter Leyland (SOAS), Professor Aileen McHarg (Strathclyde) and Professor Colm O’Cinneide (UCL) participated in a plenary panel discussion of the conference theme.
The remainder of the conference, which ran from the morning of Monday 4 September to lunchtime on Tuesday 5 September, consisted of parallel panels on diverse topics.
